Picture Polish released a six piece collection and I have two of them to share with you.
Blossom is a collaboration shade with @paulinaspassions. It’s a fun one because it shifts from a soft pink to a lilac in different lighting and has pink glass flecks that dance on your nail! Paulina obviously drew inspiration from cherry blossom flowers but it goes so much deeper than that. In her excerpt on PP’s website, she says,
Blossom is also a reminder to reach for your dreams, bloom as a person and to find your purpose in life. To not be afraid to spread your wings and be whomever you want to be…
That’s a beautiful message for a beautiful polish and it clearly shows! This color is soft, elegant, and graceful. I tried to capture that spirit in my nail art by drawing inspiration from cherry blossom trees.
Something PP pointed out themselves and I definitely agree with, is that these aren’t just specific to spring. All of these shades have a muted, soft tone that make them just as perfect for fall as they are for spring. Blossom alone looks like a spring shade, but when looking at the collection as a whole I can definitely see the fall vibes. Especially in this next color.
Embrace is a collaboration with the one and only @sveta_sanders. This dusty rose is filled with holographic flakes and reaches full opacity in two easy coats. Sveta’s idea for her polish is,
To embrace our imperfections and to love who we are.
I knew I wanted to put some sort of floral image on top of this but I couldn’t find one I was happy with. The one I ended up choosing isn’t the type of image I would normally reach for. Matter of fact, I’ve had that specific plate for over a year and have never used it. But I figured if there ever were a time to use it, it would be now. After all, Embrace, right?
I’m so happy I went the route I did! I ended up loving these so much more than I expected to. I ditched the pastels to go with a golden yellow for my flowers and it paired so naturally and beautifully with the dusty pink of Embrace. One glance and it screams spring, then I look again and it screams fall. Unique!
These two colors, along with the other four, can be purchased now from piCture pOlish’s website for $14 each or from US stockist Whats Up Nails for $15. Celebrate the first day of spring by getting your hands on these pretties!
